When it rains it pours!

This week has been nuts! We have all started to settle down from Carter's accident and on Sunday I woke up bright and early to be able to do the weekend run around (Costco, Target etc) and get home so that I could be sure to take the boys to the park!

Well, those plans went down the drain when this girl pulls out of a local fast food place and rams into me. Her bumper flew up and it totally scared me! I expected for the whole side of my car to be banged up. I was so lucky that she only got my tire and scratched up some other parts but nothing to bad!

It wasn't really the accident that made me upset but that this girl really wanted to blame it on me. When obviously it was her fault (I had the right away, I was on the through street and she was pulling out of a parking lot)!

Anyways, after a couple days of running back and forward and talking to a million people they decided that she was at fault (DUH) and now I have to go do all the stuff to get the car fixed.

It's just not something I really wanted or needed to deal with right now! GRRR..

on the lighter side of things.....

I am in Jessica's Tag swap. It's my first tag swap and I have to say I love it. Its easy, fast and fun to do. You don't have to spend a lot of money and I will get 17 tags back that I have no idea what they will look like. Its exciting :)!

So I was making my tags and decided that I need some trim on the bottom of them. So I went into the garage to get the box out and there hops out the UGLIEST, scariest bird I have ever seen! I just stood still and called "ERICSON". I wanted to make sure that he came and saw it.

He came out and instead of being freaked out all he could do is laugh! SO MUCH FOR THE HUSBAND TAKING CARE OF THE NASTY BUGS, RODENTS AND NOW WEIRDO BIRDS! Isn't that part of what men are for? Helping us with that stuff?

So, we are thinking that this poor little thing just got lost or something and hopped into our garage. It was a baby and couldn't fly.

I thought it was like a beat up crow or something...but its a special kind of vulcher...ewwww

Ok...isn't the poor things like the ugliest thing you have ever seen?

On a *CUTE* note :)
I've bought a couple things that I'm going to be adding to the shop:

Vintage hangers! Aren't these sooooo cute?

I love this book. It's filled with lots of cute pictures that I will frame for my kids. The pictures are practical (like brushing your teeth, combing your hair, eating your fruits and veggies...etc... Wouldn't it be so cute in a bathroom and kitchen?

Before Carter's accident I was thinking of redoing his room in a vintage nautical, beach theme and then after the accident I didn't know if I should. I've decided that I'm going to incorporate lots of vintage toys and beach items in a healthy mixture so it's first budget friendly (I have so much stuff already that needs to be used) and second easy to change because its not just one theme.
I am thinking:
Cute Whales
Cute Ducks
Cute boats
ABC'S
Vintage toys
Vintage dogs

So far I purchased this vintage child's bathing suit from the 30's. I'm going to frame it!! I love it and the colors go so well with the bedding I purchased!

This is the darling bedding! Isn't it so cute? These are really hard to find and it's in mint condition. I haven't gotten it yet but will in the mail this week. I'm excited!!! If I don't end up wanting it or changing the theme of his room I will put it in my etsy store.

I purchased this vintage Coloring book that I will also frame! See the colors (red, blue?) I'm going to be using these colors through out the room...also notice the doggy? Its perfect for a vintage nautical room for a little boy! Its going to tie in using stuffed animal dogs, fabric, pictures and bookends with his room!

I purchased this also because I love that its NOT sailor or beach theme but does go with the red and blue color scheme! Its so adorable anyways so I had to get it!

I also purchased this book. Its filled with the cutest pictures ever. I'm thinking about putting it in the shop .

I also ended up purchasing vintage inspired gift wraps from Cavallini because I couldn't decide which one I like better!

Vintage ABC's

Or Retro Toys!

I hope everyone is doing great! Stay tuned for a WONDERFUL giveaway!!

xoxo
