This is just a quick look at Christians NOT DONE AT ALL vintage cowboy room! Its just a jumble of recent purchases, things I already had, things made and just PLACED in Christians room. As I make, purchase and find the items I need to finalize his room things will be moved around and finally placed at the right place.
So, basically this is just how it looks right now and a lot of items hanging on the wall were just placed because there were pre-existing holes from Christians old set up.
Ok, so this is the bedding we purchased for Christian at a garage sale! The family was making a move to Utah and needed to get rid of everything! She gave us the queen size bedding ( Christian had a Twin size bed before....), 2 mirrors shown, throw pillows, the little red lanterns, 2 different cowboy clocks, lots of wall art and accessories. It was such a blessing!
In the corner by the rocking chair I'm planning a little sit area with shelving for putting away books and toys. I would like it to be against the wall and in a "L" shape with seating on the top and the shelves on the bottom. I would like to make Christian also a little area with a huge chalkboard so maybe that will be my project for this weekend!
This is a vintage trunk that I love. Goes perfect with Christians room, adds some whimsy details to his room and is storing some toys right now!
This frame I got at a Goodwill and put a vintage "pin the gun on the cowboy game" in it. I love it. Its a really fun and CHEAP alternative to buying vintage or reproduction wall art! It's also a fun piece to talk about!
Howdy Partner!
This I made yesterday also. I got a set of 3 frames at the thrift store that were a teal color and distressed the frame and added a more off white , grayish color to it with some of the teal showing. The picture is from a vintage book that is about horses and just happen to have this PERFECT picture of this little cowpoke! I added a vintage sheriff badge and a gun from the vintage cowboy game above and the word "bang" from a vintage scrabble game.
I have a set of very sweet vintage puzzles (which I'm going to put in my store ) and I decided to use this puzzle and frame it. It's also a fun and cheap way to make some wall art. It's really fun because Christian helped me do this project. I just love how kid friendly it looks and how kitchy it is!
This shelf was put together in like 5 seconds. Made mostly of things that Carter loved to mess with in his room and I knew he would break so I transfered them to Christians room. The little cowboy was a thrift store find.
The tin signs were given to me at the yard sale where I purchased christians bedding!
Cute little vintage bisque indian sits watching on his a vintage "I" block.
I love this old picture given to me by Caleen! It's perfect for Christians room!
Antique music sheet from 1902 purchased at a flea market in San Diego!
I hope you enjoyed just a little look into Christians room. Now Im thinking of changing Carters to a more generic vintage room just full of stuff I love and cant sell and make it all work into a lovely vintage toddlers room....or thinking of a vintage surf or beach theme cause I found some really retro beach signs yesterday at the thrift store. What do you all think?!
