Little More of Me

Well, we celebrated Carter's 1st birthday this weekend! So sad....haha!!! I was just pregnant like yesterday! What happends with the time??? It was a low key deal which ended up better because Carter isnt a very "strangers and people are giving me attention" kindda guy. He is a total mommas boy that much rather just eat cake with me than celebrate with a bunch of people.

I decorated the cake with the vintage finds I got at an estate sale!


He didnt get as dirty as Christian did on his first birthday but he did eat ALL the cake we gave him! Yikes





I was suprised that everyone invited included Christian. Hes only 3 and didnt really understand that it was Carter's birthday not his...so he was so excited that he got to open up a couple also!


Some people have asked about my backyard so I thought I would give you a little tour! The flowers are blooming or anything so its just a quick look ok!

Crazy avacado grove in the back of our house. See the gate?? Remember the fires we had in San diego? The fire got about 5 feet from the gate and the mountains were all red with fire...it was awwwwwwwwful!

In the little valley is where the Wild Animal Park sits so we always get to see exotic birds flying into the park !

The BBQ my hubby made Christian last year! Has kindda a retro feel and as u can tell...durring the winter it wasnt used and the cooking items were just stacked up on the burner! Its a very fun and cute little bbq...the knobs turn and the grill is made with some wood chips and looks like there is a fire..SO fun!
