Fabric Coasters! Great Christmas Gift

I love to start buying and making my christmas gifts before the crazy season starts. This time of year is nuts with halloween and thanksgivng and then chrstimas! There is not time to breath!!! A gift that is really nice is coasters! You can pair it along with some cool new mugs or kitchen towels . The fabric you choose has endless possibilities so you could give it to someone that has modern taste or someone that loves anything with a cottage flair!!

This is what you need:

-2 squares of fabric measuring 5'' by 5'' or customize it for your needs

-16 gauge clear vinyl (not any less or hot cups might ruin it!!!) You will want to cut this maybe a half an inch to an inch bigger then your fabric squares

- Put your fabrics (both pieces the way you would want it to look when finished) and the vinyl together like a sandwich with the vinyl on top.

- The vinyl should come with some thin paper kind of like tissue paper. Place this under it on the sewing machine to prevent it from sticking to the machine (so Its going to sew it on the bottom).

- Now sew around the edges about 1/4''

- Now tear your tissue paper away that was sown

- cut the edges with some fancy lined scissors!
