Decoupaged Hanger Craft

I've been wanting to decoupage a hanger for a while now and I finally did it! It was easy and fun and looks GREAT!
Great Christmas gift, birthday gift, baby shower gift because you can put whatever image you want on it!

Materials:
Hanger (adult size or baby depending on who your making it for)
Masking Tape
Sandpaper
Primer (if you decide to use unfinished hanger)
Acrylic paint
Paintbrushes
Varnish
Mod Podge
decal or image (either from personal collection or anything you get on the Internet)
Water-based varnish sealant
Ribbon or bow
How to do it:

1. If using unfinished hanger be sure to lightly sand your hanger to remove ruff edges and to make the hanger able to have paint applied to it evenly.
2. Cover the hanger's wire hook with masking tape (you don't want to paint that part).
3. Using your acrylic paint in the desired color paint the hanger. Let it dry and repeat for a second coat.
4. Once your hanger is totally dry lightly coat your hanger with some varnish (this makes it WAY easier for the Mod Podge to go on).
5. Select image, cut it to the right size and then cover the back of the image with some Mod Podge. Place the image in the center of the hanger. Remember to smooth out the bubbles with your hand. Then apply some Mod Podge on top of the image.
6. Now if you desire you can embellish the decal with glitter or whatever you choose. You may want to put some Mod Podge over the glitter after it dries
7. Then coat the hanger with a water-based sealant.
8. Now let that dry
9.Add a bow on the wire part of the hanger!

Its not finished and so so cute!
It's nice to give a set of these out. Maybe if you are doing some for a baby shower...make every hanger have a different image on it!
One place I love to get images off of is http://vintagerio.com/
They have a bunch for free or you can pick and choose and pay for one. Or google a image up. Remember, if you want to sell these to check about the copyright!

Have fun!
